A new scholarship endowment established by CALS alumna Karen Conde and her family will provide funding to students with military ties, as well as work to increase representation of women in leadership within professional and service careers.
Living history: UArizona’s Campus Arboretum celebrates its 20th anniversary
From its beginnings, the arboretum has served as something of an experiment ground, a place where faculty and researchers could test what could survive in the desert Southwest. Today, it remains an outdoor laboratory where researchers can answer questions about sustainability.
Student spotlight: Natasha Meehleib – Plant Sciences, May ’23
"My interests lie in the connection: bringing communities together and improving them through the wonder of plants—making sure that students understand the connection between the tomato on their plate and the journey it took to get there," said CALS senior Natasha Meehleib.
